iL.E.A.D. Success Tutors/Mentors

  • Tutor youth ages 11 – 14 (6th – 8th grade) in all subjects
  • Mentor youth and promote a positive STEM attitude while engaging in hands-on STEM activities and field trips.

Volunteer (Mentor/Tutor)

iL.E.A.D. Success volunteers have a unique role in this program offered to middle school youth. You will have the opportunity to provide tutoring in all areas, in addition to providing supplemental learning around STEM related topics.

The core role of the iL.E.A.D. Success  Tutor/Mentor volunteer is to promote a positive STEM attitude and to enhance inquiry based learning. Our volunteers are responsible for, but not limited to the following:

  • Assisting students with homework and/or projects
  • Being a positive role model
  • Assisting with STEM hands-on demonstrations
  • Attending tutor/mentor training sessions
  • Listening and advocating for students

Volunteer (Program Administrator)

The core role of the iL.E.A.D. Success  Program administrator volunteer is to promote iL.E.A.D. Success’ program to the community. Our volunteers are responsible for, but not limited to the following:

  • Web page management
  • Social Media management
  • Photography/Historian
  • Marketing/Branding
  • Curriculum development/management
  • Recruitment strategy deployment
