Erica Lance was born in the District of Columbia, but raised in Jacksonville, FL. She graduated from A. Philip Randolph Academies of Technology as a member of the National Honor Society and equipped with her CNA license. Her educational journey then continued to Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA, where she majored in Chemistry with a concentration in Forensic Science. It was here that Erica developed her love for tutoring and mentoring while working at the Allentown Boys and Girls Club.

After graduation, Erica ventured into the workforce in the biopharmaceutical industry. During this period, she realized she needed to further her education, and while working full-time, obtained her Masters of Science in Forensic Science from National University.

Erica has continued to tutor in her community. She worked for Club Z In-Home tutoring and tutored several students of various ages from K -12. She also worked for Wyzant Tutoring where she tutored in a wide variety of subjects like college chemistry, high school geometry and algebra, and alphabet recognition for pre-schoolers.

Because Erica truly believes that learning should never end she facilitated tutoring sessions with adults to prepare for tests like the ASVAB and GED.
